VINTAGE FISHER AM/FM TUNER
FISHER STUDIO STANDARD FM-2310
ANALOG, WEIGHTED FLYWHEEL, SLIDE-RULE TUNING
#...0543
Circa 1977-79
Made in Japan / (MIJ)
for sale
ü
Our technician has completely gone through and 'Certified' this
unit.
ü We
have completely gone through this unit cleaning everything
including all switches, controls and contacts. Extensive
cleaning of unit internally.
ü Control
( 'Output' potentiometer) was 'flooded' w/ 'De-OxId' and is now
quiet
ü Switches
/ Selectors (rotary, toggle and slide) were also flooded with
cleaner (unlike much of the other gear
available at the time, the switches in this unit are NOT typical
'sealed, plastic housed' units, but metal cased with access for
cleaning / servicing! That's a BIG DEAL from a service
standpoint). Toggle switches on this
unit FEEL QUALITY and substantial when you flip them, because
THEY ARE!
ü RCA
I/O jacks cleaned of surface corrosion.
ü We
also aligned the tuner front-end on both AM & FM bands for
optimum performance as older tuner components will have
'drifted' over the years.
ü AM
'Stick' ferrite core adjusted for optimum reception and minimal
noise
ü Tuner
string checked for any fraying then re-tensioned to increase
traction & relieve flywheel binding and re-centered pointer to
correct dial position.
ü Following
it's initial refurb, I felt that the tuner flywheel was a bit
'sluggish' (and I've seen them 'freeze up' once they start
having resistance to their motion), so I sent it back through
the tech procedure, and had them disassemble the flywheel
assembly (not a particularly easy task), clean the bushing /
axel, and re-lube. Now is should be good for another 30-40
years. Frankly we are seeing this WAY more often on tuner
flywheels, as the 'lubes' are hitting the end of their intended
life.
ü All dial
& meter lamps checked as good, and as they are 'low current
draw', should offer lots of trouble-free service. (by the
way, we could have changed these, but they're the original,
'worth their weight in gold almost', AEL-029, Blue-Pioneer
bulbs. We did recoat them with their 'translucent blue' finish)
(if you want, we'll change them out to 'new' prior to shipping,
but we get to keep the originals)
ü New
'Stereo Indicator' lamp installed
ü Cosmetically
the only issues worth mentioning are some light scuffs on the
right side of face plate and the 'nic' at the top, left of the
dial window bezel.
ü No
power supply hum of any kind. It's dead silent!
ü All
functions test fine,
ü Following
restoration procedures, the unit was ran continuously for 48+
hours. Total restoration time investment ~5.5 hours. You will not
be disappointed.

set for correct North American AC current at 117-120VAC.
ü
All internal pots / controls cleaned in both the playback
amplifier, record amplifiers and the built-in 'audio' amp
and tested for noise-free function.
ü
New VU meter illumination lamps / bulbs installed.
ü
Broken ‘Power’ toggle switch replaced with an original from another Sony TC-730
ü
Both spindles were completely disassembled, cleaned and had their bearings /
bushings cleaned and re-lubed and are in perfect alignment.
ü
Heights adjusted on both reel tables.
ü
Main Drive and both counter belts replaced for trouble-free
service.
ü
Rubber pinch roller was removed, cleaned & reconditioned, as
well as all internal drive tires / wheels for positive grip.

record heads with factory STL 1k, 5k, 7.5k, 10k & 15k tones thru an
oscilloscope.
ü
Plays INCREDIBLY WELL and Records fairly well at avg -2dB to
-10dB 1k to 15kHz.
ü
Both PB output levels and VU meters playback internally
adjusted for even response.
ü
We really put them through the paces, testing both with well
mixed, recently recorded CD material and CD recorded /
factory test tones looking
for correct head Azimuth and speed accuracy). Pinch roller
and heads all in GREAT condition.
ü
All three internal speed pots adjusted to 100% accuracy on each speed
independently, via cir bd micro-pots, utilizing 'Institute of High Fidelity'
test tape meaning that 1Khz tape plays back at 1000Hz +/-1Hz!
ü
Following electro/mechanical restoration, unit received a cosmetic cleaning / detailing. Unit has a couple of minor issues. Missing ‘rear’ feet
replaced with OEM / Sony Originals. About the only cosmetic issues remaining
are: the ‘tip’ of the ‘Amp’ On/Off toggle switch is snapped off, so they’re
short (still functions, just doesn't stick out as far as normal). The others are
cosmetic in that there are a few 'minor battle scars' cosmetically with a few
chips in the Formica finish on the casing and a few scuffs / scratches on the
head cover / fascia.
ü
Entire unit still looks good, works and sounds GREAT! (We’re
actually auditioning a ‘Johnny Cash’ “At San Quentin”
Reel to Reel tape on the machine as I write this)
ü
(Total time investment in refurb / testing ~ 18+ hours).

ü
Our technician has completely and EXTENSIVELY gone through and
'Certified' this unit which involves removal
(15 multi-pin connectors) / disassembly of the
transport, cleaning inside and out,
removal / disassembly
of the transport,
cleaning and re-lubricating all internal mechanisms and the balance
of efforts listed below.
ü
We also discovered that the entire 'head sled /
braking' mechanism had the same old, stiff grease that the other models
similar to this. The sled had to be removed, the old lube 'solvent
cleaned' and relubed. This one also had an additional issue. The rubber
brake pads were deteriorating (reverting back to their natural, 'gooey'
state due to the way they were originally vulcanized) and not only were
not contacting the reel hubs anymore (means NO brakes), but their
'gooeyness' was causing the sled to be additionally sluggish. New rubber
brake pads were fabricated and installed. This was a BIG
operation.
ü
Heads inspected for excessive wear (obviously we do this 'early on'
as 'excessive' wear will usually negate any further
restoration work).
ü
Adjusted internal power supply to proper 12.0VDC
ü
Counter belt - NO counter belt. It's
*GEAR DRIVEN!!!
(means no counter belt and MOST importantly, NO idler tire(s) to
worry about. That's a BIG deal!)
ü
Capstans cleaned / burnished
ü
Main Capstan / Flywheel belt replaced originally
with #FRM10.2 (what was called for), then #FRY10.0 (caused too much
flutter) then found deck performed better regarding speed
accuracy and Flutter with #FRY10.4 belt.
ü
Main pulley end bushing lubed.
ü
Rubber pinch roller mechanism bushings & axles cleaned of old,
stiff lube,
reconditioned and re-lubed.
ü
Rubber pinch roller removed from PR arm and lathed
and re-conditioned and now in GREAT condition!!!
ü
All internal pots, switches and controls cleaned and tested for
noise-free function.
ü
All Fluorescent displays and LED's working fine.
ü
Both hub spindles in perfect alignment
ü
FF, REW, & Play transport functions all test perfectly and controls
tested for 'positive / accurate' responsive.
ü
"CPS" (programmable song search) tested and
working
ü
Heads in great shape as well, with many years of performance left in
them
ü
Heads have been cleaned and de-magnetized as well as the entire
transport.
ü
Head alignment and azimuth at 125Hz, 1kHz and 10kHz adjusted for
BOTH directions for 'peak performance' with O-Scope and w/ STL and
TEAC MTT-257H calibration / alignment tapes. Both channels now even
output.
ü
Both Internal playback amplifier channels adjusted with Volt meter,
O-Scope and w/ STL and TEAC MTT-257H calibration / alignment tapes.
Both channels now even output.
ü
Meters adjusted to even zero with symmetric input with Volt meter,
O-Scope and w/ STL and TEAC MTT-257H calibration / alignment tapes.
Both channels now even output.
ü
Record bias adjusted ("0dB" referenced to .775V per
service manual)
NOTE: Found service manual misprint: Specified Line in is
436mV =
-5dB (NOT -9dB). Just FYI for anyone working on one of these.
ü
Both Internal Record amplifier channels adjusted with Volt meter,
O-Scope and sine-wave generators and 'pink / white noise sources'.
Both channels now even output.
ü
Pinch roller and heads all in GREAT condition!!!
ü
Speed adjusted to 99.99% accuracy BOTH directions, with with TEAC
MTT-257H 1kHz factory calibration tape (meaning 1kHz calibration
tape plays back at 1001Hz +/- 1 Hz.
Initially the deck was running at 1015Hz.
The service manual allows for an
error range of +/- 23Hz! Yuck!!!)
ü
Playback meters zero with factory test tone tape.
ü
Tape Counter and 'Memory' Function tested
ü
Floor noise measured at -74dBm
Following service / fine tuning;
ü Recording
tests performed with TDK "SA-100" High-Bias UDXL-II
and TDK Metal Tapes. Here’s the results;
TDK "SA-100": 1KhZ with No NR @

TEAC V-95RX Features include: - Super Hard, Permalloy' PB / REC heads
- GEAR DRIVEN!!!
(means no counter belt and MOST importantly, NO idler tire(s) to
worry about. That's a BIG deal!)
- Tri-mode Auto-Reverse with "4-Channel" head.
The 4-channel head eliminates the issues of azimuth normally
associated with auto-reverse designs. (we do not see that it works
optically, but based on when the counter stops at the actual end of
the tape which is typically how 'auto-reverse' functions). -
3 Motors (one for capstan drive,
1x for reel
drive and one for ancillary control
- IC logic "touch-control" tape transport with motor driven 'cam
control mechanism' (allows you to switch between 'Fast Wind' or
'Play' modes without pressing 'Stop' w/ no fear of spilling /
dumping tape'...AND it's FAST!) - Dolby-B & dbx noise reduction built-in for recording and playback -

The one thing to mention is that the little 'flip down' door that covers
some record level functions will not stay closed. You can either leave
it in the open position, or simply remove it (easy to do as shown in

Original observations / conditions:
"Surprisingly 'clean' inside and out. Once pushed up by
hand, speed was at 775Hz (vs 1kHz),
varied and gradually slowed as tape progressed over a few
minutes. Playback and Recording
had decently and surprisingly
strong and even levels for a deck that
was in 'as found' condition. Fast wind sluggish /
iffy. Fast Wind reluctant to start depending on progress
thru tape. Auto-Stop wire sticky. Very
noisy 'Joint Roller'. Typically dirty & intermittent
pots / controls."
Our
technician has completely gone through and 'Certified' this
unit.
ü We have completely and extensively
gone through the mechanicals and electronics of this unit.
ü Entire transport was disassembled down to the
chassis, and every mechanical part was cleaned of
"varnished" lubes, re-lubed and reassembled. Again, the
entire transport assembly was painstakingly disassembled,
cleaned and re-lubed as well as the always at issue, 'Pinch
Roller swing arm' 'plunge' assembly
ü
New 'Main Drive' belt replaced for trouble-free
service.
ü
All three internal drive tires / wheels removed,
reconditioned on drill press and solvent cleaned for
positive grip
ü
Capstan / flywheel removed, cleaned and
burnished. Axle / bushing cleaned and re-lubed.
New E-Clip installed for flywheel retainer.
ü
Both Supply and Take-Up
reel hubs / clutches removed, disassembled, cleaned and
adjusted. Bearing / bushing surfaces re-lubed.
Clutch surfaces re-textured
ü All hub brake pads have been
resurfaced and re-glued.
ü Motor re-lubed at both front and rear ports
ü Internal power supply adjusted to proper +25VDC.
Checked for 'ripple' with Oscilloscope .
ü New fiberglass tape on RF
shields
ü All Internal & External pots, controls, &
switches (including the linear 'record' switches) cleaned
and tested for noise-free function ("Tape / Source" cleaned
multiple times).
ü Both spindles in perfect alignment.
ü We also checked the
reel table heights for no "reel rub".
ü Pinch roller reconditioned / re-surfaced.
ü Re-Sprung Re-wind mechanism
arms
ü Auto-Stop wire disassembled,
cleaned and new 500,000 silicone installed. Mechanism
tested for proper 'drop' time and
stopping time once remainder of deck restored.
ü VU meter illumination and 'Record Indicator"
lamps tested as working fine.
ü Internal 'Bias', 'Record-Level' and 'Play Back
Level' micro-pot levels adjusted (bottom side of lower
circuit board).
ü Both linear record switches
cleaned.
ü Heads were cleaned and de-magnetized as well as
the entire transport.
ü Tape pressure pad mechanism adjusted properly for
'just enough' tension on all heads.
ü Head alignment / azimuth has been checked for
peak performance with 10kHz
factory test tone / alignment tapes and oscilloscope on both
Playback and Recording.
ü Both level meters adjusted for even playback
level w/ 700Hz STL factory test tone tape.
ü Floor noise tested to >54dB w/ fresh, blank tape
on PB.
ü Plays and Records GREAT w/ 0dB / 1kHz in =
+5dB / 1kHz out on Ampex 456GM
tape, AND, in 'real world'
testing, we found that it actually performed great on
standard, Scotch "150" tape (also allowed 0dB on both Pink
Noise & 1Khz). DDD 'Real World' CD recording sounded GREAT
with very little high frequency loss!
Deck actually sounds awesome and is probably in the top
couple dozen, best sounding tape decks we've finished over
the past couple decades.
ü Speed checked to 97.7%
accuracy (meaning that a 1kHz test tape PB @ 1024Hz
/ +102.4%).
ü During the above procedures, entire unit was
detailed inside and out
ü Again, Pinch roller and Heads all in GREAT
condition.
(Total time investment in refurb / testing
18+ hours).
Cosmetically in great condition!

GREAT performing Sony TC-355 1/4" Open Reel stereo tape
deck with 3-Speeds! Great for all-around Playback and
recording of reels up to 7" in diameter. Also has all three
consumer reel speeds as you will see listed below. Great for
burning your tapes to CD or Hard Drive or for a 'media
transfer business'.
A couple of other interesting features of this particular
deck over many other R2R’s.
- It allows for ‘Sound-On-Sound’
- Also the ‘hub brakes’ are completely released when it’s
‘Paused Play’ mode. This means that you can manually
manipulate the reels back and forth by hand for the
‘scratch’ effect DJ’s get with ‘direct drive’ turntables.
- The above ‘brake release’ design also makes this deck
conducive for making ‘Tape Loops’
- Finally, as it’s not only a 3-Head deck, but also 3-speeds
(1 7/8ips which is slower than many R2R decks) it can also
be used with a mixer as a ‘Tape Delay’ for guitar, Vocals
and other instruments and since it has the slower speed as
well makes it much more versatile as a ‘Tape Delay’.
SONY TC-355 Features include:
- Triple speeds at 7.5 ips / 19cms, 3 3/4ips /
9.5 cms and extra long 1 7/8 ips / 4.75 cms
- 3-Heads for instant monitoring of tape levels / record
quality while recording
- 5*" / 7" Reel Capacity (*compatible with standard 4-Track
/ 2-Channel tape format)
- 4-Track / 2-Channel Stereo operation, or 4-Track /
4-Channel 'MONO' operation (meaning it will also play tapes
recorded in the early 1960's!)
- Separate L & R input level controls
- Auto-Stop
- Dual analog VU meters for monitoring Playback and Record
levels
- "Sound-On-Sound" capable w/ independent L & R record
engage switches
- Built-in Sony "Noise Suppression" circuit
- Dual front mounted 1/8" mic input jacks
- 1/4" Stereo Headphone jack
- Mechanical Tape counter
- Pause "Inst-Stop" lever
- RCA and DIN inputs and outputs
Original SONY TC-355 Specifications as follows:

have recorded on for playback tests, that you may further
record on if you desire)

"The transportable and extremely powerful PBM 6.5 is the result
of many years of fine tuning of the PBM concept. Featuring a
unique layered injection-molded bass driver and a superb high
frequency unit, the 6.5 is the ideal monitor for almost any
project production environment. The drivers are controlled by a
completely redesigned hardwired hand selected crossover
providing uncompromising detail, precise spectral resolution and
flat response...The fully radiused
and ported cabinet design reduces resonance and
diffraction while providing deep line and extended bass. When
quality. accuracy and the legendary Tannoy sound are available
at such a remarkably reasonable cost, there is simply no other
choice."

I have a pair of PBM 6.5mkII.
They served me very well for many years. Musical and practical
speakers.”
“I use Tannoy - PBM 6.5 for
mastering and it works great!!”
“I can't say enough good
things about these dynamos. I have used them in my row
home at ungodly listening levels as well as at a nice
respectable volume. They are clean, clear, transparent and
really natural sounding. It's what a studio monitor is supposed
to do, add nothing other than what is contained in the program
material. Where they really shine is with vocal, midrange and
horns. Crisp, sparkly, shimmering highs explode from these in a
way that belies the diminutive size. Best when elevated and
placed carefully away from a rear wall as the rear firing bass
port's placement is the key to the bass definition. Never tiring
to listen to and a great value.”
“I own a pair of PBM 6.5 for
recording and mixing purposes for the last 19 years!!! The
response and image projection is outstanding considering price
range. For they are a classic for music and post
production….They are as important as Yamaha's NS-10m. Without
wearing my ears out.”
“I loved my PBM 6.5s - used in
studio and for listening.”
“Thanks for the web site! I
bought mine "used" from a music center that has since closed
down. The where used for the first city fireworks extravaganza
here in Houston TX as monitors for some famous composer that put
all of music together. I was told he was pushing 1000 Watts
through them. When I heard them, they were playing through a 400
watt system with clarity I never heard before in regards to
monitors. No coloring of the sound make mixing perfect. EQ
later. Play them through a straight amp and put at least a foot
of space behind them with no foam or baffling.”
“I loved my PBM 6.5s - used in
studio and for listening.“
“I have had my pbm's for at least 15 years and they are still
the only ones I have in my home project studio. Still going
strong.”
“I have had my
PBM 6.5 for 25 years and they are
still going strong. I use them in my home studio Dj'ing and
mixing music.”

MADE IN WEST GERMANY

Circa 1970-72
for sale
ü
Our technician has EXTENSIVELY gone
through and 'Certified' this unit, cleaning inside and out,
lubricating mechanism, adjusting tone arm lead out and testing
performance.
ü Entire automatic mechanism COMPLETELY
disassembled, de-greased, cleaned and re-lubed, (never an easy
task on 'auto' turntables) including; the 'Actuating Slide and
Pawl', and both plates.
ü 'Speed Change' mechanism disassembled, de-greased,
cleaned and re-lubed
ü All internal rubber parts reconditioned including, of
course, the idler wheel.
ü Drive motor completely disassembled, cleaned and
re-lubed.
ü
Steuerpimpel replaced (this is a 'MUST DO')
ü
Steuerpimpel glider pad in fine shape, and fully operational
ü
Platter bearing disassembled, cleaned of old lube and
re-lubed.
ü Gimbal bearing, counter weight and anti-skating all
adjusted and verified for accuracy.
ü Tone arm Lead-In and Lead-Out.
ü Tone arm bearing perfectly smooth in operation.
ü Idler position centered for more positive speed
positioning w/ selector.
ü Original Dual Changer / Stacker Spindle inspected,
re-lubed with 'dry lube' and EXTENSIVELY tested on multiple
tables (see below)
ü Burnished RCA output connectors under chassis
ü He also replaced the anemic, factory RCA cables, with
some much higher grade, fully shielded interlink cables, w/ 24kt
gold RCA connectors.
ü Original platter mat warp & bubble free.
ü Re-glue, and Lemon Oil Teak wood veneer case / base
ü Proprietary Dual 'cartridge sled' inspected, and had
both mating contact sets burnished (primarily to address 60Hz
hum)
ü New Shure M91-E, Elliptically cut, Diamond Stylus,
installed on the Shure 'magnetic' cartridge. Tracking and Bias
force also re-set to 2g.
ü
Tested / analyzed and passed for motor noise and 60Hz hum.
ü Speed checked and verified for accuracy with
technician's factory test strobe disc.
ü He also did an 'orbital buff' to the dustcover and it
looks GREAT! Has cracks at each rear corner that have been
'plastic welded' solidly back.
ü Table cosmetics detailed.
ü
Unit tested with our myriad of test records, one of which included;
Shures' 'Cartridge Obstacle Course' record
Restoration entailed approx 17+ hrs w/ followed with about MANY
hours of testing w/ many albums (mostly because we enjoyed
having a 'quality' changer on one of the test stations to listen
to).
As this turntable has a 'magnetic cartridge' (unlike most
'stacker / changers' which have 'crystal / ceramic / piezo'
pickups) you can readily connect this table to any receiver or
Integrated amplifier input. For a basic system, or wanting to
get introduced or re-introduced to stacking vinyl records, this
is a great table.
You can readily connect this table to any receiver (including
'modern / A/V / Home Theater receivers) or Integrated amplifier
with a standard magnetic phono input, or an external Phono
Pre-amp. To connect to computer for burning CD's just order one
of our inexpensive
Phono Pre-Amps and cable kits.
Plays 16, 33, 45 & 78 RPM records. Selects 7", 10" or 12"
record size. As stated above, this table has had EXTENSIVE
refurb / restore work. Cosmetically, the table looks great.
Again, our turntable tech has
completely and EXTENSIVELY gone through this table (total tech
time ~17+ hours).
Following, and ONLY DUE TO the above restoration /
refurbishment, the table starts as it should, and end's as it
should with no 'end groove hang up'! (While Dual
purports stacks of 5 LPs as 'typical', normally you should
typically only get about 3-4 on a stack with no issues, and you
won't always get '6' to work, but... this table, #2184
was test played thru 25+ cycles
and tested thru multiple stacks, with 6X LP's stacked with no
issues!!! Occasionally you'll have a record 'hang up' or
'double drop', but that's almost always due to errantly drilled,
elliptical or center holes that are 'too tight' in one of the
records.
Overall the table works beautifully and all functions now work
GREAT! We also re-installed a Shure cartridge with a brand new
M91-E stylus and optimized the table for it. (If you prefer
an up-grade you may also choose from our selection of new Audio
Technica cartridges that we can also set up and ship with it for
the additional cartridge cost.) You can readily connect this
table to any receiver, Integrated amplifier with a standard
magnetic phono input, or a Pre-amp. To connect to computer for
burning CD's just order one of our inexpensive Phono Pre-Amps
and cable kits. Again, this table looks near new and works
great!!
Famous, sought after, and one of their more 'durably designed'
DUAL 1209, fully automatic changer phonograph. This is one of
only two "Dual 1209s" that we've had in over 20 years that we've
restored (due to finally having a technician that's up to the
task). Very nice Dual 1209 Stacker / Changer / Single play,
Fully-Automatic turntable. One of the most sought after Dual's
due to it's 'simple and durable' design. Very difficult to
'break' one of thes.
These are very well built turntables featuring an adjustable
speed belt drive platter, but here's the VERY IMPORTANT
POINT about the 1209. It is one of the few Dual models,
offering 'adjustable platter speed' that does NOT utilize
a 'toothed belt'. It uses a 'tapered' motor drive pulley. The
original 'Toothed' belts, utilized by Dual on MANY of their
turntables are now 'UNOBTAINIUM' now, and any of the original /
NOS ones still floating around are likely 'dry rotted' and
useless. We've tried 'O-rings' (both single and double) with
limited success. NOT to worry on this model as it doesn't use
that system at all (and that is VERY important).
Dual 1209 Features:
-
Fully automatic operation
- Super heavy platter
- Idler tire drive (no belt needed)
- 'Pitch Control' does not utilized the 'toothed belt' that is
now ''Unobtainium'!!!
- Single play or Stacker / Changer operation (both 'single and
LP 'stacker' spindles included with this one)
- Tone arm cueing
lever
('Cueing function defeated when used with 'stacker spindle' for
safety)
- Record size selector for 7", 10" or 12" discs to adjust
starting position and as a safety to insure that the stylus is
not lowered onto the platter with out a record
- Adjustable Platter Speed control (does require 'monitoring'
chart)
- 33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM speeds
- Low mass, straight, metal tube tone arm
- Standard 1/2" mount cartridge head shell
- Tracking force and Anti-Skating adjustable ('course' tracking
by 'weight' and 'fine' tracking by 'spring')
Dual 1209 Specifications:
Motor:
Synchronous,
Split/4-pole Motor, with
'Radial-Elastic' suspension
Drive: Idler Tire / Rim Drive
Platter: Non-Magnetic, Dynamically Balanced. Weight
1.8Kg / 4lbs!,
270mm
Pitch Control: 6% (again DOES NOT utilize a 'toothed
belt')
Wow & Flutter: ± 0.09%
Speed Accuracy deviation: <0.09%
Rumble: Un-weighted: -42dB / Weighted: -57dB
Tonearm: Extra-long, torsionally rigid metal arm, mounted
on 4 point Gimbal type on vertical needle
bearings and horizontal ball bearings
with hard, and polished races. Dual
'Sled Head' headshell.
Cartridge: Accepts all 1/2" mount with a weight of 1-12
grams (incl. mounting)
Again, as previously stated, the table has just been completely
gone through by our senior turntable technician and is "Ready to
Go"! Following refurbishment / and final inspection / sign off,
the table has gone thru a minimum of 25 play cycles, including a
minimum of 6 plays of 6x record stacks. You will not be
disappointed in this table for all around use.
Comes with and original, Dual "Stacker
/ Changer" tall spindle we ordered from
Europe and 'short / single play' spindle and a pair of
'up-graded' RCA interlinks.
Measures 18" wide x 16" deep x 9" tall and weighs a heavy 16 lbs
unpacked. Includes our standard 30 Day limited warranty.

REFURBISHED / SERVICED
VINTAGE PIONEER CASSETTE TAPE DECK
PIONEER CT-F600
'BLUE METER' SERIES CIRCA 1979-80 MIJ
"WORLD AC POWER" ™
for sale
ü
We have gone through this unit quite some time ago for ourselves to use,
and just ran it through the shop again
which involves disassembly of
the transport, cleaning inside and out, DISASSEMBLING, cleaning and re-lubricating all internal
mechanisms and the balance of efforts listed below
(difficult on this deck!!!).
ü
Heads inspected for excessive wear (obviously we do this 'early
on' as 'excessive' wear will usually negate any further
restoration work).
ü
Main Capstan / Flywheel belts
replaced during original service
ü
Counter belts
replaced during original service
ü
Idler tires
replaced during original service
ü
Idler tires reconditioned
during this most recent service
ü
All internal trim pots, switches and controls tested for
noise-free function.
ü
All meter lAmps and LED indicators working fine.
ü
Both hub spindles in perfect alignment.
ü
FF, REW, & Play transport functions all test and
controls tested for 'positive / accurate' responsive
is what we normally like to say, but due to the internal design of this
one, we were not able to get it to perform 100%, EVERY time.
Occasionally the 'STOP' button will have to be pressed a time or two, or
another button will need to be pressed to then be able to engage 'STOP'.
Other buttons sometimes 'hang up' temporarily, but usually selecting
another transport function will 're-set' them as they're 'self
cancelling / mechanical' with an internal mechanism that was unusually
difficult to service and get to the current 'usable' state.
ü
Heads in great shape as well, with many years of performance
left in them
ü
Heads have been cleaned and de-magnetized as well as the entire
transport.
ü
Head alignment and azimuth at 125Hz, 1kHz and 10kHz adjusted for
BOTH directions for 'peak performance' with O-Scope and w/ STL
and TEAC MTT-257H calibration / alignment tapes. Both channels
now even output for PLAYBACK..
ü
Both Internal playback amplifier channels adjusted with Volt
meter, O-Scope and w/ STL and TEAC MTT-257H calibration /
alignment tapes. Both channels now even output
for PLAYBACK..
ü
Meters adjusted to even zero with symmetric input with Volt
meter, O-Scope and w/ STL and TEAC MTT-257H calibration /
alignment tapes. Both channels now even output
for PLAYBACK.
ü
Both Internal Record amplifier channels adjusted with Volt
meter, O-Scope and sine-wave generators and
'pink / white noise sources', however we were not able to get
great recordings. The left channel is often 'low / and distorted' on
'Recording' (sounds fine as a 'PLAYBACK' deck).
ü
Pinch roller and heads all in GREAT condition!!!
ü
Speed adjusted to 100% accuracy BOTH
directions, with with TEAC MTT-257H
1kHz factory calibration tape (meaning
1kHz calibration tape plays back at 1000Hz ± 1
Hz)
ü
Pinch roller re-surfaced, and in GREAT condition!!!
ü
Tape Counter works well
ü
Speed adjusted internally to 100% accuracy with 1kHz factory
test tape (meaning 1kHz calibration tape plays back at 1000Hz
± 1Hz) (utilized TEAC MTT-257H)
ü
Floor noise measured at -60dBm

Normally we would completely refurbish / restore
a table. This one had two 'cosmetic' issues that were beyond our
'skill sets' or we simply didn't want to tackle. The first, and
primary issue for us was the surface oxidation on most of the
table, but especially the tone-arm. It simply wasn't practical
for use to try and rectify or pursue. Second issue was the
'checking / flaking' of the original 'tinted finish' on the
base. We have a guy that could have re-finished it for us, but
then we're back to the 'oxidation' issue that we weren't going
to address, so we would end up with a great looking base, but
the balance of the table's cosmetic issues would now 'stand
out'.
I have an affinity for this table, as every time I go to 'High
End' audio shows, it's the table that is used by many of the
speaker, cartridge, phono-pre-amp and amplifier dealers /
manufacturers as they're way of demonstrating their gear. Part
of my thought process is to keep it for myself (I don't mind my
gear have a bit of 'cosmetic character / battle scars. Most of
my old favorite guitars and Amps have plenty of 'road rash'),
but I really don't have room for a third / fourth table in my
current system (but of course that could change). So until I
decide to keep it, it's for sale in 'working well, but 'as-is'
cosmetic condition. Again, our turntable tech has gone
through the mechanicals / electricals of
this table, and following
restoration was tested for speed accuracy, rumble, wow &
flutter, noise isolation, and tone-arm function.
Table looks good, sounds and works great!
Again, comes with Shure cartridge, but needs a stylus
(we can install something else if the purchaser desires for the
cost of the cartridge).

BUFFET CLARINET
MODEL B12
INTERMEDIATE
STUDENT Bb CLARINET
for sale
This clarinet is modeled after the
Famous Buffet Grenadilla wood clarinets from the 'old day's'. When I worked
for a 'full-line' music store thru the 1990's, we would periodically have a
'vintage' Buffet come thru and they never hung around long once serviced for
re-sale. It is what most clarinet players asked for. That and Yamaha's.
This is a Buffet B12 clarinet, again, designed after the 'vintage' horns
for the student / beginner and into the intermediate market.
The Buffet B12 clarinets are made from ABS resin with an appearance
and sound similar to that of genuine Grenadilla wood. These models are
lightweight, strong and easy to clean perfect for even very young players.
The Buffet B12 model has a very attractive and traditional design
with nickel-plated body rings, straight key work and a traditional bell
ring. The body is buffed to give the appearance of wood.
The nickel silver key work is cold forged and induction ered,
providing greater stability, precision and quality. The B12 model is mounted
with double fish skin pads which ensure excellent sealing.
Features:
- Nickel plated keys, body rings & plated bell rings
- 65mm barrel
- 14.65mm poly-cylindrical bore
- Arched key cups (same as R-13 model)
- Staggered trill keys (same as R-13 model)
- Blue Needle Springs
- Adjustable 3-position thumb rest
- Ergonomic key design: Improved playing comfort like that of a professional
clarinet
- Pointed needle springs for quality key action
- Undercut tone holes for improved tone quality and faster response
- High quality Double fish skin pads enables air tightness and are long
lasting
- Blow-molded, hard shell case
Mouthpiece Assembly with
Ligature, Cap and Mouthpiece
- Cork Grease
- Cleaning
Swab
This clarinet retails
for $925.00 (US).

Yes, we know, EVERYTHING (at least all the receivers)
are OUT
currently.
We will be posting more in the future.
We are currently focusing resources on expanding our receiver 'Parts
Department' AND 'refurbished' stereo receivers sell faster than we can get them
refurbished, and it's a slow process getting them ready.
