ROUND 1 (First Invoice), Posted 6/5/06
|
Entire display made up of late '60's and early '70's
"Compact systems". The look could be all over the place from woody, to
charcoal grey textured (much Sony) to space age. |
Entire display made of mid '60's to early 1970's
turntables. Some would have been stand alone units such as the wide body one
on the top shelf and the Tan "suitcase" on the bottom shelf. Midline stores
carried both styles then.
|
Entire display is late 1960's and early 1970's receivers.
Mostly Japanese with a couple of US one's. |
Top row. 1960's consumer grade 8mm film
Middle Row: Variety of 8-Track tape players (couple 8mm cameras on the end
as well)
Bottom: Typical late 60's early 70's transistor radios and a few 8track
tapes stacked to the left |
Toshiba does not really show up in the US until '73 and was never very prevalent as separate audio
components. They do exist, but there weren't many sold new, so even fewer
are around in decent condition used. They were a huge parts manufacturer.
The particular unit above is from '73.
Sony had about 4 integrated amps prior to 1970 and only 1 receiver. They
were heavy into Reel to Reel decks prior to 1970 in the US.
|
Speakers Coming. They would have been wood grain cases
with mostly burlap / linen cloth grills. Some would also have been wood
lattice as the 70's started. The cloth continued into the 70's on slightly
"higher-end" brands.
More Reel to Reel photos coming as well.
We can also do a selection of "pocket" style transistor radios.
We can also do stacks of reel to reel tape and 8-track tapes that could be
re-shrink-wrapped to look new. |
